IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE COLOR OF A PIECE OF
FURNITURE ?

After a piece of furniture is stripped the wood returns to its
original color and can be stained to a different color.
One thing that must be considered is the species of wood
involved and the factor that it is impossible to achieve a color
lighter than the natural color of the wood.
As an example, a piece of mahogany or black walnut can not
be stained to achieve a "golden oak" color.

If a lightening of the color is desired on a dark wood, this can
be obtained with some glazing and back toners procedures
but the result will be of a modern faux finish rather than the
beautiful look of the natural wood grain enhanced by the deep
transparency of a clear finish.
